Optimusprime,

Thanks for the immediate reply. This is the first time I've heard of it. And like you, I won't mind too haveing the PPR in the email so long as they will approve my PR application.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but what country had you or your spouse lived before, other than the US and the Philippines? I just want to check if it's somewhere in the Middle East so that I will have a slight idea on how long will I wait until our bacground check will be completed.

Thanks again Kabayan!

Congrats again!

hey jpadz, i worked in the 3 countries - home country, USA and HK/China. hope that helps. :-)

Hello folks and congrats to those who got PPR and landing completed as well.
I m also the benchmark for some people and being silent means I have not made any progress in my case; sadly. :-(
Couple of things I wanna ask:
It may not be relevant to this thread/forum but I m asking since you folks have great knowledge.
1). Does H1 stamping is still valid and ongoing for H1 holders in canada who got H1 in USA and never went home to do stamping? (especially the countries like India, Pakistan, Philippine, Nepal...)
2) Do I need to inform alberta and/or CIC if I m in the process of changing my employer whom I have H1 from and filed under AB nomination program but now it gonna be new employer. If so, when I m supposed to tell them.... now or after the approval of H1 transfer.
Please answer these question and I m thankful to you guys
Blessing
.F.

Any update on your cases?
Did your ECAS change to 'Medical Results Received'?

There's nothing yet from me. When will this waiting game be over?

Nothing yet. Anyway I have given up on Canadian Immigration. Leaving for UK on December 1st.
Since Jan 2009 it is "In process". I think I wasted money, efforts and mental peace on this!!
However, good luck to you all

Regarding File Number

Hi,

Can anyone please tell me how CIC Buffalo inform us CIC File number? I mean Via Postal Mail or Email? I am asking because I am ready to submit file but going to change my Apartment with in month so I am worried.

Thanks

Your file number will appear on the Acknowledgment of Receipt that CIC Buffalo will mail to you. In my case, I received it through a postal mail.

Thanks for reply. Actually I have another question now. What If I will move to another place before I will get the file number. how will I inform then regarding address change? Do I need to send email or need to call them. Please advise.
