I applied in the middle of May 2009, AINP family stream, I read everything very carefully, filled in everything as it should.
All documents were translated by an authorized translator, All copies was certified by a notorius publicus. IELTs test band score above 4.0
and so on.
We meet all criterias to candidate as well as the sponsor.

But, how will AINP decide wheater we will be nominated or not?
Based on what? Our intentions to live in Alberta are very strong, but we are just an avarage family with normal jobs and normal educations.

According to the AINP website, it may take up to 38 months before they have reached a decision, but would like to know the chances to being nominated.

Wish us good luck :)
Ps, we are a married couple in the mid 30´s with 2 daughters and are from Sweden, Europe. So London, UK will be the office taking care of the CIC application forms, hopefully!!

I think if you fulfill all their requirements and so does your sponsor, you will be selected. That is how immigration works. There is no lottery. Either you meet the requirements or you don't.

So the CIC has the same rules as well?
If AINP nominates us, we will get PR status?
Of course we meet all requirements, has no criminal background or medical problems what so ever.

If there are no problems, you will get PR status. Nobody can tell you a 100% that you will get it but they would have to give you a reason if you were denied. If you meet all requirements, your background check is ok, your medicals are ok, you send all the documents they require and you send them on time, then they have no reason to deny.

I have heard that if they have reached their quota, they will stop processing which may be why it can take a year or somtimes more to get PR.
