AINP-Family Stream - Timeline

I applied in April 2010 and got a letter from AINP in March 2010 stating that they have received my docs.According to AINP website timeline they will send a file number after at least 5 months from the date of receiving of application but now its more than 6 months no reply from AINP

From the beginning of family stream, ie June 2008, till the date I havent' seen any one who got visa under this program. They just hanged the people in the air.

i submitted the application for my relative in july 2010.
In august, i received letter stating they received my application.
In Dec. 2010, i got the file number.
yes, i also know a few people have landed in Canada through this program.
from what i heard, the speed depends on your qualification, your sponsor's background, your age, your specialty and the quality of your application material etc.
