How do you know " more than 300 applications " ??
I think it is just his/her guesstimate based on the last 3 digits of file number. We know the latest number we have is in 9xx and people who are getting nomination are in their 6xx. So the approx differecne is 300. But I think that is not true. AINP assigns file number as and when the application is opened in the order they were received. Then if everything is OK and at the appropriate time they were notifying the file number to the candidate. So there are chances that there may be lot of new process applicants within that 300 who will know their file number only when they get their nomination after 5 months of total time.

Just my 2 cents...

Guys,
Do you think the New process (no pre-assessment) is faster than the old process ?
Based on my analisys, In the old process, the applicants can get the nomination within 4 months!!!
until now ....none of new process applicants has not been noticed by AINP Officer!!How is it possible .?
any suggestion ??
I am bored in USA...

Thanks,
Yo

It is basically that they did not expect this many applications.... They are probably overwhelmed by the count... They are probably not prepared as they had expected. Hope they increase the manpower, but cant complain as they are not charging us anything for this work. Guess how much you would have been charged in the US if there was such a similar thing!!!

Exactly that is true. They didn't expected. I wonder why still they are going to Houston to attract H1B Workers. We are just looking here at H1B Class. But Family Class, Employer driven Class, International Graduate Class is also increasing thier work load. So let them work in thier order. No more phone calls because of your own doubts. If they need anything, they will Call. Peace!!

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
the rules will be more strict and refusal will be common.
H1B and degree are not sufficient. Higher rank and education may be considered.

Because Houston has Chevron, BP and many other energy companies.

You will only receive a confirmation email and file reference number after your application has been pre-assessed and entered into our system for processing. (Pre-assessments can take up to 2 months provided the application submitted is complete; it may take up to 2 months to receive a file reference number).

I think the above statement means 4 months for file number for new applicants.

I guess I misunderstood something. Since we are sending the whole application at the beginning, why is still there a pre-assessment stage??

I guess they refer to the time taken for notifying the file number as pre-assessment.

There is no such thing Pre assesment. Before January 1 2009, The process was to check the eligibility of Applicant before he applies for Nomination. That pre-assesment had nothing to do with nomination, that was to check whether or not applicant can be rejected Prima Facie or Ab initio. Means whether he/she can apply for Nomination or not. Now there is only one form called AINP 009.
