Any update on January applicants? My daughters passport will expire on May 2015, now on crossroads if I will renew her passport or wait for PPR until November this year. :'(

I think you better renew now. It will take 2 months I guess, by that time you are on you PPR already. Otherwise if the process will be delayed and you get PPR on nov or dec and they have to refuse your daughter's passport due to its near expiry it will take more time.

I too am a Jan 6 applicant, did you get IP? I saw two Jan 6 applicants getting IP last week

Nope GBH.our application would turn 8 months in 2 days and still no IP. Really hoping and praying for an IP this week.

Just checked the schedule available for passport renewal in our consulate and the next available slot would be on mid November....I saw one of the thread that CIC would still stamp the visa on the passport but would follow the expiry days of the passport and should complete the landing before it expires.If I would be getting it, I am planning to do flag-poling and wouldn't be leaving the country anyway.Any thoughts on this ? :'(

You can e-mail the consulate and ask if they can accommodate you at an earlier date. Tell them your case. They are very accommodating. I tried this before. They gave me the slot for those who cancelled.

If not, let us hope our PR visa comes very soon.

yeeeeeeeeeee. i got in process now. application received 2/24/2014 and they start my application in process September 3. i checked last night. super excited now . and good luck for other fellows
