Definitely you need to ensure the authenticity of the agent and the whole process. Probably it doesn't make a sense to reject or accept outright. Find ways to judge genuineness.

If you are going ahead with this, I would suggest not to make the second instalment before getting LMIA. Without the LMIA your offer will be of no value.

THIS IS A SCAM DON't PAY

Re: agent providing job offer / pr to saskatchewan @ USD 12000/-. pl advise.

Yeah.. Definite Scam.. Please don't pay any amount to the agent.. Few points to consider.. Is the agent genuine? Just Google on the reviews about the agent.. You will find all sorts of agents who are ready to make n number of promises and believe me you once they have your money they will not even recognize you one day..

Please ask your agent if he is ready to give that in writing on a notarized stamp paper.. I can guarantee you he wouldn't..

thank you guys for the valuable advise.

do any one has tried paying this amount and got PR and well settled.

How is saskatchewan? to live with family

should i meet the agent and start the process by paying USD 4000/-.

he is not mara agent but he is newly setup co. may be 1 year old.
If i pay this amount and he says it is not possible can i take him to court and get my money back.

pl advise.

Re: agent providing job offer / pr to saskatchewan @ USD 12000/-. pl advise.

A couple of things came to mind as I read your post.
1. It is illegal for a recruiter to charge the applicant for a job offer. The employer pays the recruiter.
2. In order to get an LMIA several things (among others) have to be shown - there is no one qualified locally to fill the position and that you have proven experience and can satisfy HSDC why you are being hired.

If you give any amount to someone for a job offer be prepared to lose it. Search online for references about this agent. Check out office address. How did you hear about the job offer? Have you been interviewed by the employer? Do you know who the employer is and have you researched that business. Does your previous education and work history make this job a logical fit? Does it make sense that there wouldn't be someone already in Canada to fill the position? I have spoken to a large number of employers with FSW level hospitality vacancies. None of them anticipated they would be able to get an LMIA approved. For that reason it is not worth it to the employer to go through all the work and $1000 fee required to apply for an LMIA.
I wish you every success in reaching your goal, but this proposition sounds like it will compound your problem.

The person is a con artist and is unlikely to do anything for you.

Re: agent providing job offer / pr to saskatchewan @ USD 12000/-. pl advise.

It's most likely a scam and you'll most likely end up losing all of the money.

So I guess the question is whether this is a lot of money for your family - or if you don't think this is very much money at all and you could very easily afford to lose it. If it's the first - don't do it.

Re: agent providing job offer / pr to saskatchewan @ USD 12000/-. pl advise.

I have been through all of this. However, I decided not to pay anything and went back to my home country.

First of all, what your agent is telling you may be possible. But first you have to make sure who is this guy, what is is background, is he also an immigration consultant. If yes, is he an ICCRC member. If he is and you wanna exchange almost anything for Canadian a Immigration then go ahead and do it. He probably has employers who hired him to do get an open LMIA for his /her business. All he needs to do is to put your name and send it to esdc.
