Will age be a factor in canadian immigration?
According to one survay the average age of most of canadians currently are 39.4 which is overaged.
so is there any possibility that cic will prefer young people as compared to 35 +?
i am currently in my 40's.
any suggestions and comments will be highly valued..

If you are applying under the Federal Skilled Worker, age is one of the factors for which you can achieve points. Age 21-49 is the same 10 points, at age 50 you start losing 2 points per year until it's zero for that criteria for 54 and over.

If you want to calculate your points, you can use the calculator on the CIC site

See the rest of the site for information on the Skilled Worker Program

Yes, age must be a concern.

But the criteria already been set by immigration rule.

If u can hit 67 points, u are eligible to apply and u got every chances to get the visa.

all the best.
