Hello there people,
me and and my man met almost 2 years ago at an antique auction. So, it was a pure accident that we met (not on the dating site or anything like that). We fell in love and moved in together and had been living together for a year and a half. I never wanted to stay in Canada, although I've spent most of my adult life here (8 years). In fact, I was going to fly back home within a month at the time we met. Thus, obviously I am not applying for a PR to get into the country of my dreams, have a better life etc etc. I want to stay here because he is here. We have two dogs, one of which we got together from a shelter. We are buying a farm together (I am making the down payment an he will be responsible for a mortgage). Since, I was not planing on staying I never bothered finding a job that would've fit the Canadian Experience Class Immigration requirements, so I can't go that way. Family Class it is! =)) We recently got married (very small ceremony, nothing grand as we had to deal with some financial issues at the moment), right after he got his "5 year in the making" divorce finalized. So as you can see it is not a marriage of convenience by any standard. The only thing is he is 16 years older than I am =)). I know, everyone is thinking about the antique auction now =)) Yes they have great things there!!!! So, my question is will CIC look suspiciously on our application due to the age difference or not?
Thank you in advance, Itsy
