The calculator for your CRS has calculate the points with your age. So you don't have to take 5 points off. What people want to say it's : don't lose too much time once you turn 30, because every year you'll lose 5 points. Am I clear ? And welcome to this forum :)

thanks, to be honest i'm not clear ;D for example,i plan to apply when i turn to 33 years old (i'm 30 and half) cause i gonna work in new job in new field, so i need to work in that field for at least 1 year before i apply, trying to improve my ielts to club 9, study 1 year program in new field if i can...just says if i apply ee when i turn to 33, do i get 12 points of age, or i will lose 15 points when i turn to 33?i had mba degree in canada so it will be my highest degree to get the point

PR applications are a 2 stage process through express entry. There is the EE "expression of interest profile" and CRS scoring system. Then there is the actual PR application (for FSW, CEC, or FST program). To be eligible, you have to meet the criteria of EE as well as one of the programs.

You are mixing two sets of criteria, the CRS for EE, and the FSW point system. For the EE CRS, you will lose points with age. But the FSW program has its own system (and they can be contradictory).

As long as you meet the FSW criteria, you will be eligible to submit your EE profile, but your CRS score is what determines whether or not you get the Invitation to Apply (ITA).
