After sending passport, how long does CIC take to stamp the visa

Hi there,
I applied from Austria, today I received a mail that I should mail my passport.
Does anyone know about Austria? Does it take long? I am travelling on 8th of December, which I mentioned them in the e-mail.
I appreciate your help.

Hey i applied on the same date. have you heard back from them yet? I need to travel back home on the 30th of Nov because my brother is undergoing chemotherapy and my ticket was booked the day i found out which was 26th OCT but they haven't even requested my passport yet! this is all so stressful!

The only way to get through is by emailing CPC Ottawa if you have a case specific inquiry. Calling CIC is quite useless and the rep i got to talk to (after trying for half an hour to get through and then another 40 mins of wait time) was awfully rude. But you can try nonetheless:18882422100

I mailed mine from USA. Ottawa Office received my passport on Aug 21st and they mailed it back to me on Oct. 10th.

Canada Visitor Visa - I have send the Passport to VAC Newyork and got the confirmation through email and passport information are updated online in the portal as well(1-dec-2017).Any one know how long it will take to dispatch my passport after stamping?

Hi guys! I finally received my passport after weeks & weeks of worrying. Phew. Here's my timeline:

Date of Application: November 7, 2017
Passport Request: November 21, 2017
Passport Submission: November 23, 2017
Passport Received at CPC-Ottawa: November 24, 2017
Visa Approved: December 6, 2017
Tracker Activated: December 12, 2017
Passport Received: December 15, 2017

Hopefully, everyone will get their passport before their flights!

I sent mine Oct 23rd and still no approval or passport. I am very worried and calling and emailing doesn' seem to help. They just keep saying to wait! Interestingly my dependents passport is stamped and returned already so I am worried my passport is just lost or something?

Application Submitted: Online for TRV (inside Canada) December 3rd
Request for Passsport: December 7th
Mailed Passport: December 8th via CanadaPost Xpresspost
Passport Delivered: Tracking number shows delivery on December 12th to Ottawa.
No further update as yet.

Also the below message still shows on my application portal.

Your application was approved. You need to send us your valid passport to finalize your application. Check your messages below for details

Any help is appreciated. I also sent them an inquiry using the webform. Just worried about my passport. Will update here if they reply.
