Hello guys.

Could you guys help me with my situation? I'm so confused.

I got MPNP and I mailed my PR application in late June. Now I hold a open work permit which is a spousal one.

My question is can I leave my job now? Or even change it?

I went to MPNP office they said yes and it won't hurt the PR application. I called CIC they said they don't care the job. But just now I've seen someone here said it will cause delay. I'm so confused.

Also, can I leave Canada for a month or two if I quit my job?

THANK YOU in advance. I'm so depressed. Embarrassed

You're posting in the wrong section of the forum. You need to post your question to the Provincial Nomination section of the forum.

Oh I posted the same thing in PNP section still no one can answer my question.

It takes around 6 months for CIC to process an immigration application. A few months have passed now. Why not wait till then before leaving Canada.

I do not think that CIC requires you currently having a job under express entry. So for express entry it does not matter. However, I know nothing about Manitoba PNP.

Why do you want to change the job now?

Because the manager won't give a single day off even it's a holiday. :'(

Since open work permit means it is not tied to a specific job, my guess is you can leave your job

Also, report your employer. Pretty sure its illegal to force people to work without compensating day offs.
