Hello,
I am a May 2014 Applicant. I took an upfront medical exam late Nov 2014 which was 2-3 weeks before the day I supposed to receive a medical request from CIC.
I thought I will still receive a medical request because my upfront medical was done very close to the expected medical-request day and CIC would not receive my medical results next few weeks.

But I haven’t received anything so far and it makes me very afraid.

From the application status website, it says “APPLICATION RECEIVED” and when I click on it, it goes to the next page and says as follows:
1. We received your application for permanent residence on May XX, 2014.
2. Medical results have been received.
Question 1: Can anyone tell me whether it is a good sign or not?
Question 2: If it is a good sign, is it a good idea to pay RRSF upfront?
Question 3: If the status doesn't mean I am safe, where can I contact to ask why I don't receive anything..?

Also I have a printed copy of https://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/health-requirements/_images/notsubmitted_600px.jpg.. I was informed by the clinic that CIC will ask me to summit this paper in the future. Then, I need to send it to somewhere… but I haven’t received anything so far….
Question 4: Where should I send it to? Should I email it to “CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca” or mail it(if so, please provide a mailing address… I applied through Sydney Office)?

Last question, I changed my mailing address in Sept 2014 through their application status website. The website is updated with my new address, but I heard there are some cases it is updated on the website but not updated on the actual file, so they didn’t receive mails from CIC….
Question 5: Is there any way I can check if my new address is updated correctly in all files?

Your help will be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Yes its a good sign if its been updated
Question 2: If it is a good sign, is it a good idea to pay RRSF upfront?
Order GCMS notes and see what your ELIG = ??? If its passed proceed for RPRF upfront.
Question 3: If the status doesn't mean I am safe, where can I contact to ask why I don't receive anything..?
Order GCMS notes and it will let you know where you stand and it will give you your answers , you have to keep patience that's all you can do.

Also I have a printed copy of https://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/health-requirements/_images/notsubmitted_600px.jpg.. I was informed by the clinic that CIC will ask me to summit this paper in the future. Then, I need to send it to somewhere... but I haven't received anything so far....

if your medical is showing as received in portal no need to sent it anywhere its needed if somehow CIC doesn't receive or misplaces the Medical Tests in that case you might need to show above .

Last question, I changed my mailing address in Sept 2014 through their application status website. The website is updated with my new address, but I heard there are some cases it is updated on the website but not updated on the actual file, so they didn't receive mails from CIC....

Call customer care while authentication also they will confirm with you the address on the file if its same then you are good to go , if not you can ask agent to update it.

Your help will be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Actually I had the same question for a while, so I searched this forum deeply for an answer. Summarizing, "Medical received" means "Passed" as per many people think that is the meaning of the update in ECAS. However, I would encourage to order GCMS notes and check it out by yourself as someone else pointed out above.

Thanks so much Gurindar, gam786 and maxmoore!!

I ordered GCMS notes yesterday and am planning to call customer centre to confirm my address on file.

Also, whoever has the same situation (no direct updates from CIC after upfront medical, but only updates available on the application status website), please share your stories...
