After Medical Exam

I have a quick question, wife went had medical exam done today, receptionist at the clinic gave copy of eMedical information sheet and was told to submit this form to CIC. I have not heard such instruction before is it just to notify them that medical exam was done? doesn't the doctor's office submit the results? Or is it safe to do it on our end just in case?

Receptionist is wrong, no need to send that to CIC. The Doctor's office obviously use the CIC e-Medical portal, so they submit the result direct. That is your copy you can hold on to.

To be fair, the receptionist USED to be right, but that was 18 months or more ago when you had to go for the medicals BEFORE you sent your pack in, so you had to send the form she gave you with your pack (that is how we did ours). But now all medicals are done only on request by CIC AFTER you send the pack in.

Got ya. Thanks for the answer. When I spoke on the phone, receptionist did tell me rules changed that medical cant be done before application was submitted but I suppose she is not aware of this change.

Sorry, that is what I was saying. The medical USED to be done before you sent it in (i.e. up-front), now it is done AFTER you send the pack in when requested by CIC
