After ITA IELTS issue

Good Morning!

Hope everyone is doing fine. We have got our ITA on March 01, 2017. Our score is 436. Problem is, after getting the ITA me and my wife checked our ILETS result and find out that, my wife's IELTS (Primary applicant) is going expire on March 30, 2017. We have 90 days period to submit our documents. My IELTS is okay and will expire on November 2017. My wife's score was: L-8.5, R-7.5, S-7.5, W-7.5, Avg Band score is: 8. She is going to sit for the exam again on March 25, 2017. Now, the question is, Does she require to score the same result? My agency is telling me that, she need to score min band score: 6 as she already in a Express entry pool. Can anyone please help about the confusion? Our docs are almost ready and will going to submit for final processing before March 30. Thanks in advance. Take Care

Apply before March 30, and there is no need for new IELTS

If she takes a new exam and you apply after March 30 with the new results, she needs to achieve at least the same scores, since you got CRS points for her original results. If new exam would be worse you might lose CRS points and fall under the cut off score. In that case your application would be refused.

forget march 30th, you need to submit everything by 29th

I would even say submit everything by March 25!
I am in the same boat, my IELTS is expiring on April 18, though I will resit the exam on March 25, I still plan t submit by the end of March, just to be safe

If you submit before 30th then there's no need for her to retake.

for those who registered for the March 25 exam it is already late to change their mind . Deadline for cancellation or change of dates was a week ago, so payment wont be returned

It is not a big issue. The most important thing is that you got your invitation before the expiration date. CIC will take that into consideration. That is why they locked your EOI, so that you cannot make any changes. Your application process is based on the information you provided before the invitation. You can also write a lOE when you submit.

IELTS must be valid at the time of submission, not ITA.

If you submit your eAPR after her IELTS expires but before her new scores are released, you will be rejected. You either need to submit before 30th March or wait until after the new results are released on or around 15th April (and those scores must be the same or higher).

If I were you I would submit in 2 weeks. That or decline the ITA and wait until the new scores for her IELTS are in.

Option 1: If he submits by March 30, new test results will not affect the application in any way - the best scenario.
Option 2: If he doesn`t submit by March 30, the new test results will give him a chance to continue with his application IF the results are the same OR the lower results do not bring his CRS lower than the cutoff of March 1. In case they do, he will still be able to decline the ITA and go back to the pool immediately hoping for new invitation.

I think you don't see the point. If he submits the application before March 30 there is no risk for his application at all.

If she retakes the exam and they want to apply with the new results there is a risk that her new results will be worse. In that case they lose their chance. ITA worths thousand times more than the costs of an exam. Why would you risk it? There is no guarantee for getting ITA again with such low scores. Bad results can decrease their CRS so significantly that they never get ITA again

Hi guys. I got an ITA on 2nd Aug 2017. I submitted my documents and received AOR on 22nd Oct 2017. My IELTS is expiring in Jan 2018. My consultant is insisting that I take the IELTS again. Is there a link on cic website which can confirm that post ITA/AOR even if the IELTS expires its not a problem?

I don't want to leave anything to chance or misinformation or miscommunication. If there is something specifically mentioned on the cic website then I can take action accordingly... Else I'll always be in 2 minds....

And I don't want to regret any of my decision later.

Can someone help me with authentic information with source. Or give any live examples of people /friends they know of in similar situation yet got Copr after ielts expiry.
