My daughter finishes high school in June( Canadian high school). I have no money for an international college, and I can not get a student loan because we are temporary. We are in Canada 4 years and in PR process 32 month. She can stay like a visitor. Is there any advice on some cheap short course for a work permit? Thanks

To qualify for a post graduate work permit, she will have to complete a program that is full time and at least eight months long. She also needs to make sure she picks a public college. Most private colleges do not qualify for a post graduate work permit. She will also need to apply for a study permit - she cannot complete these studies as a visitor (that would be illegal).

OK thanks. She has a valid student license until December 2018. She still goes to school. At the end of June he graduated. We live in Canada for 3.5 years. My husband and I have valid work permits by July 2019. She does not want to go home. She wants to work while we wait for PR. She is admitted to college, but the price for international students is too expensive. So we need the cheapest education for a work permit. Thanks

She can't start working until she is in school full time attending either college or university. Once she is attending college/university full time, she can work up to 20 hours per week.
