After getting canada PR, is it possible to apply for USA work permit?

Lets say you apply for candian PR under CEC class - or none if you have FSW etc

1 year to gain CEC eligibility (ignoring LMIAs & job offers at this point)
2 months to get all your paperwork together
6 months to apply for PR and go through the entire process (assuming you are approved)
4 years to gain citizenship eligibility
up to 1 year to process and obtain citizenship

So there you have it, at least a 5 or 6 year shortcut to getting a US TN visa

The process of finding a US employer as a PR is no different than the process of finding a US employer if you are not a PR. You have to look for jobs online and apply for them. There is no short cut or secret. It is very hard work and there is no guarantee you will be successful. Many employers won't even consider your application since they don't want to hire a foreign worker. Just because you have PR and find an employer in the US doesn't mean you will be approved for the TN visa - there's always a chance you will be refused.

buddy first thing TN visa is for citizen and not for pr holders.

as a PR you have to apply for H1B visa. TN comes after citizenship in Canada. it is under free trade agreement between North American countries for their citizens. NAFTA law if you dont know.....

so PR requires H1B which you can do without PR too. I will say ckpatel dont apply for PR directly apply for H1B why you are wasting time in PR process wait for next april and before that find US employer....
