Hi,

I am a Canadian national and i visited my husband to marry him in his country. After getting married i lived with him for 2.5 months. Now, i am going back to Canada after 2.5 months to apply for his PR. I want to know that after applying for his PR can i go back to his country on visit visa and wait for his PR approval together? .....

Plz help because its not so easy to live without my hubby :'(

Yes, no problem, you can go back and be with him while the application is in process. He would probably have a harder time coming here, but you going there is no problem.

but can i get more info regarding this case..has anyone got into this kind of situation where one can apply for the spouse PR can get back to him/her as soon as applying?? does it affect the process of application ? is it important to stay in canada after applying for spouse PR? if yes, then how long ?

plz help me :'(

If you are a Canadian citizen, you do not have to be living in Canada to apply for your spouses PR. You only have to show proof of planning on moving to Canada when your spouse gets the PR. These applications do not take longer nor are they more complicated except for the bit where you might have to show proof of having arranged housing, found a job or a college in Canada.

Since you are not really settled in his country, you have only visited him for 2.5 months, you can not even be considered to be living outside Canada as of yet. Do you still have a home in Canada and possibly a job you are on leave from? In my opinion, you should not wait to go back. Apply now.
