hi guys, i am just wondering if anyone knows. Apparently, after EE AOR, your BOWP application can still be rejected as it has not passed R 10 yet. What is the stage called R10? and how long does it take?

Hi Daomingli,

The R10 is the completeness check. CIC reviews your application to see if it is complete (all docs submitted etc). You may also like to review this link

Sir thanks so much for your important link. Now i know i am not alone. But by my understanding, the first time you receive your AOR, you have already passed the R10, why mine BOWP still got rejected because i did not pass.

No, that's not right. When you initially submit you get an AOR. It's only once an immigration officer has looked at your documents and decided that you either have to provide more documents, or no additional documents are required.

It's only if they have all the documents required to make a decision that you pass your R10.

Hi Daomingli,

The first AOR you receive when you submit your application is NOT an indication that you have passed the check (you have not yet passed it). If you took the time to read it, it actually just says thanks for applying and your application will undergo the completeness check (R10). This means an officer will look over all the submitted documents to see if you have provided everything that they have requested. If you are missing documents, they will reject your application or if all required documents have been submitted, they will continue to process your application.

I am pretty sure you have asked this question quite a few times on the forum. It looks like you applied BEFORE you were eligible for BOWP. This may be the reason why your application was rejected.

Have you already started working on your restoration? You must immediately apply for restoration. Every moment you waste is another day that you are in Canada illegally. Please focus on applying for restoration.

Good luck.

YES Thank you so much Sir, i spent the past two days trying my best to figure out what is going on and i think you are hitting the point! I will do the restoration ASAP, i have 90 days after FEB 1 to submit it. Nothing illegal --- This is my top one priority. I will take the fact that my file hasnt passed R10 yet to be eligible for BOWP; I just wanted to know do the people process my BOWP have access to my APPR..... If they did not even know I got invited for EE, then I need to not only apply for restoaration but also hire an immigration lawyer, at that point.

You think its because my APPR has not passed the R10 yet.

I am just curious.... if its after R10, they would approve BOWP.... oh well, people posted that sometimes, they got PPR, their whole file status is still REVIEW IN PROCESS... does it mean sometimes people will just not get a BOWP, due to the system bug....

Good luck.

Pretty sure MyCIC statuses aren't as accurate as we'd want them to be...the officer will be checking your GCMS notes.

It takes at least 1 month to get it.

I posted in another one of your R10 threads that you can call the call centre 18 weeks after your AOR to verify if your app is already at R10.

Hello All

I submitted OPNP application from India in Dec 2015 and in June 2016 i received an e-mail saying the demand draft expired and had requested for the new DD, which i sent immediately. I have not received any communication after that, anyone has gone through this? How much more time you think it could take for me to receive ITA.

Very eagerly waiting for response

Thanks
