Dear Concern

from April 10,2010, IELTS is required at the application at initial stage for FSW in Nova Scotia
I am wondering whether to apply with Original or Photocopy.

Thanking in Advance

IELTS is not required by CIO. It is required at local visa office only. You will have only one chance to submit a proof of language efficiency. IELTS is your best bet since it has fixed points. So you need it there.
Good luck!!

Ru sure..because it is so confusing...We have to write the IETLS points in the Initial application. What if,
if we do result much better than that???

do v need to send IELTS fr initial stage

pls let me know

You must take IELTS exam before applying to sydney. Submit IELTS original result to local visa processing office. I have doubt about submission with initial application.

you dont need to send IELTS for CIO sydney. But better u give the exam and write actual points in the application. IELTS valid for 1 year. So there is no harm to do it early

you don't have to take IELTS for CIO, but it is a good idea since you would know your level and what to put in your initial application.
otherwise you can put the level that gives the number of points you need and then study hard to get that level.

i've noticed in the "Schedule 3" form there is a question #6 about your language skills in English and French, and they ask to provide a copy of the test if it had been taken...
my opinion is to take test before sending the docs :)
Good luck

IELTS is not required to submit file to sydney.. You can send IELTS result later to local VISA office.

Please be sure when you are advising a colleague, the rule has changed since April 10, 2010

The initial application would need to have IELTS scores. Please find link below:

NO, please read the instructions. You don't send IELTS to Sydney. The new instructions are that you will get 1 chance to prove your language ability if you send a written statement about your ability. CIC will no longer ask you to submit an IELTS if you have sent a written statement, they will give you language points based on what you have written and it could be 0
