Afghanistan Spouse Sponsorship thru India

great news!! I received an email at 3:30 am. Saying for my significant other to get her 2nd medical done within 30 days. Without going through all the pages. What is usually the consensus of how long it takes or what is the next stage after the 2nd medical is done?

Funny thing is, is that I talked to my MP case worker on Friday and they said that there isn't anything to worry about and that I should get something 1 month or 1 1/2 month saying that its at the security and background check phase. Then over the weekend this came. I hope all is well and she comes soon.

One question I have is does she have to go to India to pick up her visa? she already has a passport. How does it work? I might be confused but I heard some horror stories saying that the visa office gives you two days to pick it up and you have to leave straight from there. They threaten you if you don't come on time they throw out your passport. If anyone can clarify on this that would be great.

It's nonsense.

After you submit your remedical and eventually your status changes to Decision Made or PPR, whichever comes first, you have 30 days to submit your passport for visa stamping.

When your submitting, you have to submit to Nehru place ( 3rd party ) who deliver the passport to Canadian embassy. You will recieve back within 2 weeks with your shinny visa and COPR ( Confirmation of Permanent Residence )

When you recieve your PPR, it will state where you will be submitting.

It's about 1month or a bit more in average. Remember they update every Tuesdays so it should be arriving soon. Check your emails and ensure it doesn't go to junk folder. They may email or call so make sure both are valid.

My husband is in india, but when they got the ppr it said to submit in Islamabad. What can we do to get the visa from India. It is very difficult for him to go to Pakistan.

Better to take visa Coz now days they asks for passport from women too.
Just yesterday I hav submitted my passport for pak visa,,, it took a min only there was no crowd at all.
Tell your wife to go to embassy around 11 o clock with below doc:
1: copy of Tazkira
2: two photos, size and specifications are not considered
3: visa form, is available outside embassy
4: b careful not forget passport at home
