Afghanistan Spouse Sponsorship thru India

Hi Nick_AFG and other senior members,

just an update on my case .

1st September 2014 file transferred to New Delhi
1st October 2014 got additional document request including PCC
29 October 2014 submitted my additional documents to NDVO
29 December 2014 send enquiry email to NDVO, they said My file is in background and security check

and now it has been three months, I have got no response from them. Any idea how long does it take to do background and security check for Afghan applicants. I hope not 6 or 8 month

Salaam, just wondering...how did you do the inquiry? Did you submit the form online or did you actually send them an e-mail? I am asking because I want to do an inquiry as well. Thanks!

Bear in mind that you will be ordering them on behalf of your husband since he is the one being sponsored.

So first form "REQUESTER INFORMATION" is all YOUR (sponsor) info.
*Are you requesting information on your own behalf? Pick NO and then choose the E-mail option as opposed to CD


2nd form: "ACT AND RECORD SELECTION"

Please select the Act under which you are submitting the request
ACCESS TO INFORMATION ACT

Which type of records do you wish to request?
CASE FILES

The rest will all be your wife's information (Principal Applicant)

File Type: Immigration File- Permanent Resident

Last form: "ATTACH DOCUMENTS"
This is where you attached the signed consent form found here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/form-imm5744.asp
To fill this:

1) Your full name: This is your wife/principal applicant's info
2) Spouse info: This is your/sponsor's info
3) Designated individual: This is your/sponsor's info
4) Declaration Check both YES boxes
5) First box is your wife's signature
Second box is your signature
Date
You can ask her to sign the form and scan and e-mail it back to you. Afterwards, you can sign and scan and attach the form along with the request.

Ugh...This is getting ridiculous. No news this month at all! I was hoping my husband will get his visa by the end of January...guess not! MP is always giving the same generic reply that background check is awaiting completion -_-

It is almost more then two weeks that I reach to Canada, based on my experience do not think this process very hard, I am sure everyone of you or your spouse will come soon, mine took almost 28 months that I took my visa but it passed like 1 second, just enjoy your life in sweet land specially with your mom, dad and sister, as it is the best moment of your life which will never return again.

Canadain immigration send me a email requesting medical and police clearance.
my wife went to kabul to a police station and they did the clearance check. Then they send it to Toronto ONT and they translated it. They can sent it to any three afghanie embassy here in canada

The medical Canadian immigration sends u a address and phone number just call and book an appointment it only take 2 days or so
