Salam hope your doing well , my family got there pre- arrival letter in 28 September 2021 after that they received email 6th October about there travel has been approved to Canada now they are waiting for actual visa .

I got my COPR not plastic card yet and my family not ask for medical . Please wait your family received the confirmation of visa vary soon maybe this week .

Thank you so much for the information, actually I think that I don’t have PR yet, maybe I won’t get their approval visa. Let’s see, please keep me posted when you get visa.

Congrats !!! So after getting this letter, what is the way to travel since there are no flights from kabul, do u have to travel pakistan ? Also how long did the whole process take for u ?

i got the decison made on my app status
and i know a friend who got an email for the actual visa that they have to travel to 3rd country to contact the candian embassy as in AFg it is not functioning.
 
Its so strange, Contact center had been saying all afghan applications are being prioritized in couple of weeks, they make you feel that processing is super fast but it has been more than a month with no update at all

Please everyone keep sending emails through webforms that the situation is not good there we need our families soon
As they keep bringing other afghans and the ones with application are still pending

Situation will not change unless they leave Afghanistan, ive seen people come to Pakistan and get medical and etc. they have to leave Afg

A few months is still fast processing. Given the volume of applicants and how difficult background checks will be it is not unusual that it is taking so long. Applications are also more complex than normal, in person interviews are difficult or impossible to arrange, etc. Canada also has to determine who will be accepted into the program. There is also regular processing of other immigration applications that still must get processed so I’m not sure how many resources they can divert on a longterm basis to deal with processing of just the Afghanistan files.
