hello everyone,

I have applied to express entry as a main applicant and i gave in all my information accuratly. However, i mentioned that my spouse is unemployed because its very hard for us to get hr letters from his company...even in the personal history i mentioned that he is freelancing to give them an idea that he is working But not in a particular company... i am so scared that they will put us in security screening because of that... please tell me what I should do..last update that happened on our profile is that they asked for a schedule A declaration form for my husband.. and we wrote the same information that we wrote when submitted our application...he did not go to military and he never traveled and never got a visa regected ... its just this employment issue thats scaring me... please tell me if this could be a huge problem..

Pre-Assessed..
Yes
You don't need letters from hr from your spouse's side anyway, I don't understand why you didnt choose to disclose your spouse's employment details? One only needs reference letters for the when points are being claimed for that work experience under a particular NOC in order to meet FSW and EE requirements...

We were affraid that we have to prrof every single thing that we mention in the application..and since we couldnt proof his employment we didnt mention it..and we had to keep “not mentioning it” all the way through the application for consistency of information...i didnt know that they won’t be asking for proof of employment for him.. but yea..what happened is done..is there any way we could change this now or there is no reason to worry?

rule no 1: never lie! even if now you get pr, maybe someday after you land other documents will contradict what you wrote here and cause you problems. i mean just this "to give them an idea that he is working"

Most probably it will be perfectly fine. But, you simply should have done some research and put their employment in personal history and that would be it.

I doubt they are concerned about this as part of the security screening. They are more concerned with admissibility. I don;t think this should cause any problems in the security checks. Good Luck.

That's great! I'm actually a single applicant, I met my eligibility in EE for the 3.7 years of experience I showed. But post that I had a 6 month experience which I didn't mention in work history and because I was not getting points mentioned unemployed in personal history for that 6 month duration in the Post ITA PR application. Not sure if this would be counted as misrepresentation.

Misrepresention is only assessed when the documents that prove your eligibility are fake or forged
