Advise on OINP

Hello guys,
I created an express entry profile a few days ago and I have 477 points. Yesterday I received the invitation from Ontario (OINP). If I understood correctly, the 1500$ for OINP is on top of the regular application fees. So my question is: does it worth it? What do you suggest?

Hello Razabi83,

I would suggest you to Ignore OINP as your score is 477, you should be getting direct ITA from CIC.

Here are some benefits of choosing Direct ITA over OINP.
1. First of all you save 1500CAD for yourself. you can use the same money for settling in Canada(As i believe at 477 you will get the direct ITA).
2. OINP itself will take around 3-4 months to give you Nomination, and after that you will again wait for ITA.
3. If you are getting direct ITA, you can reside in any Province of Canada, but if using OINP you need to stay in Ontario.

I think Manpreet already covered all the points comprehensively.
Looking at the current trends you can be fairly positive of receiving ITA directly in the next round.
You can at least wait for the next 2 draws and if the trend changes (unlikely), you can apply for OINP.
It will take 2-3 months for you to receive AOR after you apply for OINP.
Chances are very very high that you will receive ITA directly within that period. In that case you can ask OINP to withdraw your
application and they will send your whole application packet back along with the CAD1500 DD.

So don't spend sleepless nights on this issue. You are in a very good situation.

Hi again,
I've read that If you're eligible for both FSW and CEC, the system automatically extends an invitation under FSW. What's the logics behind this? I would have preferred to apply ander CEC but I received ITA under FSW. Thanks
