No, I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion, but that is just not right.

"Employers hiring foreign workers through the International Mobility Program do not need an LMIA. "

International mobility programs include intra-company transfers, IEC programs, and labour agreements - none of which apply to your situation.

These people need a work permit but do not need an LMIA:

•Workers covered under international agreements
This group can include:
◦professionals,

This means for example, workers covered under the NAFTA agreement, which would only apply to you if you're a citizen of the USA or Mexico.

An LMIA is a document from the Government of Canada that permits your employer to hire a temporary foreign worker through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program.

Employers hiring foreign workers through the International Mobility Program do not need an LMIA. These people need a work permit but do not need an LMIA:

•Workers covered under international agreements
This group can include:
◦professionals,
◦traders,
◦investors.
You're grasping at straws. None of the above applies to you. In your other thread on this subject, I also missed that your job is only part time. So as others have said, you can't get an LMIA (only if they decide to turn it into a full time position). You should start looking for a new employer now who is willing to offer you a full time role and is also willing and able to obtain an LMIA.

International Mobility ProgramThis program allows employers to hire or bring in foreign workers without the need of a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). Exemptions from the LMIA process are available where there are reciprocal benefits for Canadians and other competitive advantages for Canada.

Examples of individuals who come to Canada under an LMIA-exempt program include: international students who have graduated from a Canadian school; persons authorized to work in Canada temporarily due to free trade agreements, such as NAFTA, International Experience Canada participants, some permanent resident (PR) applicants settling in Canada while their PR application is finalized, and spouses of highly-skilled foreign workers

PGWP so doesnt that fall under international mobility program? I went to college here .
Yes, but you already got your one PGWP - you can't extend it and you cannot get another one. So when you're applying for a new work permit, it's not under the international mobility program.

Have you looked into PNP?

Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that everyone who comes to study in Canada will be able to become a permanent resident.

You did a one year program, right? Have you considered going back to study some more?

Correct. The PGWP is a one time deal and you have used up your one.

That is correct.

But if you're having difficulty obtaining full-time employment, you can ask yourself if you can improve your qualifications so that it will be easier to get a full-time job. And find a program that offers co-op, internships, other means of making a connection with a future employer.

I know that's not much to go on, but the only other option I see to stay in Canada is to find a full-time job with an employer willing to apply for an LMIA...

Maybe I need to move out of province or find another job with full time so i can apply for PNP
Or ask your current employer to make your position full time and do an LMIA. I know it might be hard, but you have plenty of time until March 2015, right?

Hello Everyone,
I just need an advice... I meet all requirements to apply by CEC except by my IELTS score. According with my NOC I need 6.0 at all skills, but I jus got 5.5 at listening, 6.0 at reading, 7.0 at writing and 5.5 at speaking... I am not sure whether I should apply or not... What do you recommended me?Huh....
Anyone knows what changes EXPRESS ENTRY brings???

I don't know if it is better for me wait for the next year and apply on under the EXPRESS ENTRY...

I need advice... Thanks a lot!

If you haven't met your IELTS requirement, they will reject your application for sure. Best bet for you is to retake IELTS and get all 6.0+ or try CELPIP.

As of now, all we know about express entry is what is posted on CIC back in July...very little detail has released

Hi

A number of people in this thread have advised you to do the same thing. That is discuss with your employer regards them applying for an LMIA or find another employer who is willing to obtain (or may already have) an LMIA in place.

Asking the same question will only result in the same answer time and again.

Thx

A
