67 and 97 are same. if you confident for 67 then no need to appear in IELTS again

Hello bla;

If I were you, I would have had the IELTS just for the peace and pure confidence of my mind. I suppose that you can do it easily before you need to submit your final application.

Thank you.

67 and 97 are not the same. if you get a higher score then chances of an interview waiver are high, if you get 97 then I'm quite sure that you'll get an interview waiver.

67 is boderline and any slight changes such as a divorce and points claimed for spouse. will reduce your points.. With a score like 97 even divorces, etc won't alter you points that much.

Sometimes spouse's eductaion points aren't counted because their universities aren't accredited, etc.

So there is a difference.

@alicechained - you mean even if i have 71 points, it's better to claim as many additional points as possible to increase chances of interview waiver?

i am conveniently reaching 71 without claiming my PG Diploma in Managemant. (2-yr full-time approved by governing body of higher education (AICTE)) it is recognized in India as equavalent to any 2 year MBA.

Because of the uncertainity of getting these points, I am claiming only 20 education points (BE - 16 yrs) instead of 25 points (BE+PGDM - 18 yrs). If I get these 5 extra points, i'll touch 76 points actually. Will this increase chances of getting interview waiver?

Send it what's the harm.

Besides the points there's an overall profile of an individual, the higher the eduction level the better the profile. The more experience the better.

You can send in whatever you feel will help you case, just get it notarised and include it the cover letter mentioning how this will help you in Canada and how it differentiates you from other applicants who are applying. This really helps.

See I was in loans processing and any additional assets besides liquid cash also helped the case, although not required, but if an applicant has it then it adds a positive spin to the case.

Your representing yourself on paper to an IO, i would put in as many good things as humanly possible to prove that I will adapt well in Canada, education is good, include any training certificates etc, work experience is good inculde any training like oversees training, travelling history, if your well travelled give them a copy of your visas mention that your well travelled.

this helps cause they'll know that you've travelled the world and came back home to your country. This is the number 1 concern when giving a visit visa, so this helps when your applying for PR.
