Hello Everyone

First of all thanks as this forum has been of huge help!!

Two days back I have withdrawn my old profile as it was about to expire in April and created a NEW ONE with updated IELTS score (CLB9) and change in Marital status.

Following the discussions, I selected different NOC's ( 1.5 yrs each) and got points for 3 years experience, thereby my CRS score has increased to 451 points and i am expecting to get ITA in next draw

I have few queries though-

1) Should me and my wife get the marital status changed in the passport? Is it mandatory as we ll moving to Canada as a couple? or a marriage certificate would suffice?

2) and If i do get my passport changed with updates in marital status, address (for the purpose of PCC as my passport address and present address are different), then, will it effect my application as i had entered OLD PASSPORT details in my EE Profile and
there might be a draw anytime now, hence, no change to update my change in passport number.

Guys please help as it is really bothering me!!

It think it would depend on your nationality. A country like India needs spouses name on the passport to issue PCC.

What if i go through the process of change in passport details and in the meanwhile there in draw and i get an ITA (sitting at 451 points) then will CIC allow me to update my NEW PASSPORT NUMBER.. I m quite confused about it

Hello,

It is always a good idea to have your spouse name included specially if you are Indian. It takes 2-3 days in India under Tatkal or 1 week under normal. Also, if you have a baby and want to get new passport made for your baby, it is mandatory to have spouse name in your and your wife's passport.

Without second thought go for it

I will go through the process of change in passport!!

But what if there is draw in the meanwhile and i get an ITA

There are draws every 2 weeks. If you don't make it in the next, you'll make it in the one after that. A little delay doesn't hurt anyone.

I m not sure i would like to skip the coming draw in Feb, who knows things may change from next month!!

Uff so CONFUSED.. May be I ll go for tatkal system, if i could get this passport work done in 2-3 days time bcoz i think next draw would be around 22 feb

But i m sure there would be many like me whose PASSPORT NUMBERS would have changed after getting ITA. Curious to know about their experience
