Advice to take U-Haul to Canada with or by rental car

Dear Friends,
I am planning very seriously to move to Canada as a lot of have to plan in short time.

My question is should I take a U-Haul truck to border along with family or should I cross by car.
I don't want to be stopped at USA side as they may bar me for 3 years, as in my earlier writing I had violated some US laws of overstaying.

Dear Sr. Members,

Kindly give some suggestions on my above request also, I will really appreciate your advices.

Secondly on January 22th. 2009, I've Fedex my final documents request (PCC and RPRF USD 980) but then I received a letter from Detroit asking for correct fees in USD 830.

I have send the fees on Feb.5th, they have received it now. Can anybody tell from now onwards how much time they take to ask for passport for visa.
