Hi,

I and my spouse, we both intend to apply for visitor visa, but we both will be applying different applications in different countries. I'll be applying from USA and she will be applying from India. Moreover, I am sponsoring her entire trip. Our travel reservation and booking has both of our names mentioned there.

During the application process, in the Family Information (IMM5645) form, they ask whether spouse will accompany you to Canada. What should I mentioned here ? She will not have visa when I would apply my application. If I select "Yes", will they question me about my spouse's visa? Or I should select "No" ?

You can write yes and send an explanation but this whole process seems weird, and applying differently raises doubts as well. IN addition, your wife won't have any paperwork with her?

user828, what did you mean by "your wife wont have any paperwork with her?".

She will be coming to US, about a week before our trip, hence she will be applying from India.

I meant in India ( where wife will apply ), I am just curious - if she is visiting US, then why don't you apply together there. There is no hard and fast rule that applicant has to apply from home country
