Hi guys,

I am trying to improve my CRS as well. I am planning to go and work in Canada to improve my score which is about 13 points or so. This is kind of a scrifice for me as I might lose some rights at my current work in my country. However even by doing that ( and also improving my french) I will be only 467. (And I can only complete this by 2021).

With this new cut off of 471, I am starting to think that this is useles struggle. Any advice?

Can you explain in detail?

That even by learning french and getting Canadian work experience you will still only end up at 467 points? And that too in 2021? Is that what you are implying?

It is very hard to predict 1 year into the future but given how much demand there is for Canadian PR these days, it is a risky bet. The score may or may not drop below 467 in about a year's time. I would think that it might be close to 467 but its very hard to predict.

If you're planning to go to work in Canada, might i suggest the Atlantic Immigration Pilot?

Also if you're working in a certain province, you're also in a good position to apply for a provincial nomination, which would essentially guarantee your selection through EE.

So, if you can get a job offer and work there continuously for a year, you can also apply as a CEC candidate and get additional points.

So i would look into that.

Are you trying to do another fellowship? You may not get another fellowship or a permit since you have already done fellowships in Canada and the US. Hospital programs may not select you for a fellowship if you already tried the nice. Also concerned whether you will be able to use your fellowship and work and not education.

I am pretty sure the fellowship I have done counts as work:I got paid and did my taxes. I have T4 papers. And I also have the offer already, so no worries of not being selected by hospitals.

You still won’t be able to get licensed in Canada as a radiologist. Very surprised you are being offered a second fellowship. Most programs will want to offer a fellowship to another international physician who hasn’t already had the opportunity to do a fellowship already.
