I currently doing my Post graduation in Toronto, Canada. I came here on September, 2015.

I wish to bring my wife here on April for a 3 months visit and attend my graduation on June and then she will leave.

My wife is working in an Indian Public sector company. So she will get her No objection certificate and leave approvals duly from office.

She has got funds in her account and in addition I too have savings in canadian bank. I'm also working part time.

So my questions are:

1. What are the chances of getting a visitor visa provided the fact that I'm a student here...?

2. How much funds would be sufficient to show for visitor visa...?

I appreciate someone's suggestions in this regard.

Hi,

1. It's not possible to guess her chances of getting a TRV. It could be difficult but you can try.

2. Whatever funds she shows must be her own without borrowing or inflating the bank balance just to get a visa.

Some suggestions:
a. 3 months is too long. Keep her visit to 2-3 weeks (possibly around national holidays).... prepare a day-by-day itinerary like a typical tourist, do not limit the purpose of her visit to your graduation ceremony.... plug in expense estimates.... ensure the leave approval letter is also for 2-3 weeks. Anything longer than this means her employment ties are not strong = chances of getting a TRV are weak

b. She must prove strong times to India.... employment, property or leased accommodation, good financial situation, family, other responsibilities and commitments

Cheers

Hi
If somebody wants to apply for visit visa with following circumstances

1) Single Person
2) On Job as graphic designer with US based company in Pakistan
3) Owns a Car and Property
4) Have Visas of SIngapur, Turkey, Dubai, Maldives, Malaysia, Srilanka and Iran/Iraq (For Pilgrimage).

His brother's family is living in Canada since last 13 years.

Should he apply alone or with his parent's? As his parents are also planning to visit their elder son?

Please reply.

Thanks
Xaideez

Hi Xaideez,

He must submit evidence for his employment.... employment letter + leave approval letter + 6 months pay stubs + 2 years Income Tax Returns + 12 months bank statements, etc

Property: Valuation + supporting evidence for current market rates

Ties: Any specific reason or responsibility/commitments that would make him return to Pakistan after a short visit + strong financials

Travel History: Unfortunately, none of the countries mentioned by you would really count as travel history.... you can prepare a *Travel History* explanation though

Whether he should apply alone or with his parents would depend on their individual and joint situations (length of visit, finances, individual ties to Pakistan), etc.

If all of them apply together (without any immediate family in Pakistan + considering his brother's family live in Canada).... then there's a risk of refusal on the grounds of *Family ties in Canada versus that in the home country*.... hence, their individual ties to Pakistan must be very strong

Cheers
