My study permit got approved. I am 18 years old. My mother is coming with me to help me settle in. She is going to stay for around 2 weeks.
I have a couple of questions.
What should she indicate as reason for visit?
Should she say that she's accompanying me or does that mean something different?
I didn't say that she would be accompanying me on my application because I was told that means that someone is staying with you while you study.
Thank you.

Sightseeing and helping my child get ready for school finding a new apartment. Just make sure she shows a lot of reason to go back. It is a common thing to do.

Thank you.
So should she say she's accompanying me or apply totally separately? And that means she should apply as a tourist?

She needs to apply separately. She can't apply as accompanying you. Yes - she will need to apply as a tourist.

Thanks.
i already got my study permit approved. There's a part on the visitor application that asks whether she is accompanying someone who has status in Canada or recently got approved to come to Canada. What should I say for that?
