My husband, 3 children and I are looking at moving from UK to Toronto area to be near my parents.
He served with the British army for 12 years and for the last 2 years has been recruitment commander for the army reserves, when he was regulars he was a qualified signals instructor and a physical training instructor and has most of his driving licenses.
Any information on the best way to apply for PR would be greatly appreciated as my husband has just left the army so we don't know where to start and all his qualifications are military and we don't know how to get them transferred into civilian qualifications so are unsure of which code would suit his qualifications best. We would be very grateful for any hints or tips on how to move forward in applying to get PR as quickly as possible.
Thank you in advance for any help

To me it would seem the best chance is sponsorship by your parents. Try the Family Class Sponsorship sub-forum.

This might help

Parents can only sponsor dependent children who are under 19 years of age... (as currently defined, may revert to "under 22 years"...)

is there a cut off date to be entered into a pool for parental sponsorship or have I been reading the wrong thing does anyone know?

As you've been told in several of your other threads, your parents cannot sponsor you in any way.

A friend of my, who was serving in the British military police, was offered a job with RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) he did not accept the offer and never went to Canada, however, he mentioned that a lot of policeman in Canada are from the UK and ex-military. This is potentially a pathway for you to look at.

I will have a look at the Canadian mounted police thanks
