Advice needed plz - goung out of Canada for 2.5 months

Hello members,

I am currently sponsoring my hubby (outland) and I am a PR holder.

We are currently in the second stage of the process, that is our file has been transferred to Pretoria VO since 21 July 2015.

I was thinking of going back to my country for vacation for approx 2.5 months as from 20 January 2016. For this, I will need to quit my job, as I will not be getting leaves for so long. However, I will still maintain my address in Quebec.

I am in doubt if this will cause issues in our application. If the authorities find out that i am out of canada, will they reject residency to my husband. Will they reject our application? Does being out of Canada for vacation purposes, pose a problem?

Please advise..I feel so lonely and want to go see my family and hubby.. Its been almost a year without him.

There's no black and white answer. As a PR, you are supposed to be residing in Canada during the entire process. Generally we recommend keeping time outside of Canada below 1 month. Yes, it's possible you may have no issues leaving for 2.5 months - it's also possible your long trip could create issues for your application. Unfortunately it's impossible to say for certain.

Is there any one in this forum for has been successsful to take holidays out of canada without it affecting their application? Please share your experience!
