Advice needed for defer from diploma to pg course for may intake.

My Visa is approved today for diploma program January intake

I have word with representative about deferring my admission to next intake. To which they responded that I would get offer for pg course of one year. But now I have my visa approved.

So, my question is that, can I attend and complete PG(1 year) program starting in may 2019 intake as I have Visa for diploma program?

Please give your suggestions.

There's a process to that. If you haven't landed then you can defer and come here before May.
If you land on basis of diploma program then you need to withdraw from current course, do dli transfer and also apply for visa as you will be without status after 90 days of course withdrawal. Also you can't work legally till your school start in May.

If I get pg course for may intake, can it create problem at security clearance as I have gotten Visa for diploma program and I will be going to study pg program?
