My boyfriend and I met over a year ago when I was interning in Ho Chi Minh City. This past May, I went to visit his family, and now he is applying for a TRV to visit me next year (we're aiming to submit his application in November). He is finishing his last year of university, and we are thinking that he can come for a visit either during Tet (around February) or in the summer after he graduates.
My question now is: what's the best way for him to show that he still has ties to Vietnam? I'm guessing that's the biggest concern for visa officers. He will definitely include a certificate from his university, as well as a letter from a future employer stating that he will be offered a job when he graduates. He will have about $10,000 in show money, and we're putting $3,000 for his funds to visit Canada, seeing as he will be staying with me and my family for about a month or two. What else should we include, and what else can I do from my end (apart from the letter of invitation)?
