It is a bit of a complicated situation but here goes nothing, i applied for refugee status back in 2014, since then its been almost 3 years going through everything and we've been refused and we are waiting on the letters to meet the officer, but while all that was happening i managed to complete my post secondary studies and i would like to stay here and work given that i spent most of my adult life here in Canada, i heard about post graduate work permit but i cannot apply for it because my study permit has run out and i still have not received official papers of my degree or so i understood. Is there anyway i can stay in Canada or Immigrate to Canada because i do not see myself living in any other place. thank you.

At this time your options are extremely limited since you are dealing with a refused refugee claim. You have to have legal status in Canada to apply for PR through any of Canada's economic immigration programs like Express Entry and the Provincial Nominee Programs. At this time, you do not have valid status in Canada as a refugee claimant and therefore cannot apply for PR in this way. If you wanted to apply for PR through one of Canada's refugee program, you would have to leave Canada first.

You are correct in understanding that you must have a valid study permit in order to apply for a PGWP and must also apply within 90 days of receiving confirmation that you have completed your degree. Without a valid study permit, your PGWP will be refused.

At this point I don't really see any options for you other than going through the appeal process for your failed refugee claim and hoping the outcomes of the appeal are positive.

So if i do end up sent back how are my chances looking for express entry given that i have graduated here in canada? and is there a way to get here to work as temporary to get work experience?

If your refugee claim is refused and you are sent back home, you can certainly apply under Express Entry and your failed refugee claim won't stop you from being approved. What chances you have of being selected through EE depends on the number of overall points you have.

If your refugee claim is refused and you are sent back home, you should assume it won't be possible to return under any sort of temporary status (including work permit).

And one last question, my passport that i gave to the Canadian government has expired (been ongoing case for almost 3 years now) , how will i be able to return if my passport is expired?

Canada will work with your home country's government to get a travel document or passport that allows you to travel.
