1. I don't think it will affect getting a study permit as it is not a requirement for study permit unless your course is in French.
2. Yes, indeed it will distinguish you from other international students who don't know French.
3. It should (not sure exactly)
4. Yes, You have to show the proficiency in only that language in which the course is offered.
5. You can join University of Ottawa, it is a bilingual university. Job market will be good but not as good as if you know english. Close to twenty-five percent of the Canadian population speaks French and the rest speak mostly English.
6. If you know both English and French then definitely you have advantage but if you know only French and not English then things might not be that easy.

Thanks buddy for the info, much appreciated...
Situation:
I am unable to get into a degree course(MBA) in an University(as I m not meeting the minimum academic requirements) but able to get into a diploma/certificate(PGDM) course in a college, both the cases are for English language.
But with the same academic status I am able to secure a sit in an University(Quebec n all) for degree course(MBA) in french language.
Staying in a english speaking country(75% of population speaks english, as per your info) would definitely give an edge to anybody's english proficiency level.
note: I am very much familiar with English language & soon will be same with French too...
1.What do you think, is this situation possible?
2.If possible, what should I do & why?
3.What could be the negative aspects of the suggestion u give?
