Admissions with a math Fail

Dear All ,

would appreciate your help first of all ,

second of all I've been denied admissions to UFV ( University of the fraser valley ) in abbotsford Canada and that's because I've got a fail grade in math on my high school. I'm looking for any computer science , CIS programs that I can get admissions to without maths.

anyone can recommend a university in british columbia that i can get admissions to without math to computers degree ? anything but TRU please.

HEY U CANT GET ADDMISSION INTO ANY UNIV FOR A DEGREE PROGRAM UNLESS U HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA,GED OR EQUIVALENT.U CAN GET ADD FOR VOCATIONAL COURSES,PILOT TRAINING,OR CERTIFICATE COURSES. :-* ;D

just to clear this up. I've got a high school diploma but with a Fail mark in Math therefore I couldnt get admissions to CIS.

Can I please have some suggestions on where to go ?

Hi,

Firstly, I don't know the educational system at your country, is it a semester based? Or else how did you obtain a high school diploma without passing maths? Sorry, I am kinda confused here.

Secondly, dude, math is the most vital subject of computer science, you sure you wanna try for it?

I would recommend to write a mail to the universities explaining your situation and urge to study CS and see what they reply.

Why dont you just repeat your maths. You can do GCSE maths via http://www.cie.org.uk/ all you need is a grade C and than you will have no problems.

because that will take me 6 months to re do the whole thing. I'm keen on starting a semester in September !

Your question is very specific and it's unlikely anyone here has been through the same experience before. If this is important to you, I would suggest that you start contacting individual universities directly with your question.

I dont see your problem? You fluncked your maths now it is catching up with you you should have re sat your maths. Any way take 6 months out and repeat your maths and get entry into a good uni. Alternatively if you think you are dumb at maths than keep searching but you will not find any uni that will take you. Mark my words i shoot from the hip.

Suppose for one moment it is a really bad university are you still prepared to go if this is the best offer you get?
