Admission letter query.

Since I have not recieved my admission letter by local post from Canada and its already bben almost 5 weeks,I am applying with the scanned copy so just wondering what should I write along my scanned copy?
by the way how many days does it take to recieve a letter by post from Canada.

DONT!

Dont sit back and wait for it.Make a follow up.Call and tel them you need the letter as soon possible to apply study visa and that time is running out for processing the student visa.

Call even 2 or 3 times a day.You will see them respond

Scanned copy will not contained the original signature.Its scanned hence could be forged.So dont risk ok.They will reject it.

If its FEDEX,DHL 3 OR 4 business days to Asia.Africa 5-6 working days.

I called them many time, they say they cant use any other service then Post, they even sent me the letter twice,this is the second time I havent recieved there letter.
They wont even send it through other services if I pay for it. There asking if I have any friend or family member in Victoria(UVic) that he or she may pick it and send it to me but I dont have nyone there. I already have the Original letter of Recommendation from the Department but its the admission letter thats making the problem,the visa guy at fedex said that I can apply and start my application process by a scan copy and that I should send them my original letter as soon as possible.

So I'm in a tight situation.

There asking if I have any friend or family member in Victoria(UVic) that he or she may pick it and send it to me but I dont have nyone there.

DHL has a service which, for a fee, will pick your letter from the destination and will deliver it to you anywhere in the world. Check DHL website for more details.

DSL and FEDEX say its not possible to get a letter picked up since I dont have an international account, also since I want a one time pick up and have no personal bussiness I cant open an account . T^T

I think, don't worry about original one, Attach scanned letter and attach a cover letter stating that due to Canadian Postal Strike, I haven't been able to receive admission letter from university. I have asked university to send via DHL, FedEX which I was willing to pay, but they refused and sent me twice through regular post. That should do the work!

Dear Consular Officer,

Due to the strike going on at Canada Post I was unable to receive my admission letter from the University of Victoria, BC instead was sent a scanned version which is printed and attached with my application. I even volunteered to pay for other courier services but was declined and was sent another letter by post by the Graduate department of University of Victoria which apparently would take some time to reach here until the Canadian postal strike reaches to an end.

Also mention, as time is running short, I was forced to apply with scanned copy. If during my process I get original letter of acceptance, I will immediately courier to Canadian High Commission, Islamabad.

Scan copy is allowed. You can send it for temporary purposes. Last time, while I was submitting my PP back at Gerry's, I asked this situation, the officer replied that One can apply without having An Original LOA (i.e with Scanned Copy). And as soon as possible;e he/she receives it from the Institute, He would forward it to CHC.

So dear don't worry and submit your package. Allah will do the best, In'sha'Allah.

That's because the Canadian post is on strike since June 2nd.

I got my letter of Acceptance in less than 3 days and i was sittin in Dubai. That's because they sent it thru a courier service and not regular mail.
If you havent received the letter, scan the original, get a letter from the uni about the canadian mail strike and apply. The CHC knows the matters in their own country better than we do and i dont think it will be a problem
