Address Notification form given during Landing, what should my next step be?

Hi everyone, I am a new member to the forum and its been super useful for me in this process.

I completed my landing in Canada yesterday but was given an Address Notification Form by the officer when I told him that I will be providing my friends address for sending the PR card. He mentioned that I should provide a permanent address in the form when I finally end up moving which I didn't expect because in the forums, people mentioned that providing a friend's address was perfectly acceptable.

What should my next step be? I am still working on getting my timeline to move to Canada but want to get PR card dispatched before I can find permanent residence in Canada?

Can I still provide my friend's address in the address notification form?

Do I need to fax the form or could I just call customer care and tell them the address?

Do I need to have my friend fax it as I’m Airbnb’ing in Vancouver for a couple of days while my friend is in Toronto or does it not matter?
