Hi guys, I am applying my PR card through family class, common-law sponsorship, outland. I am Chinese and I am currently living in Canada. Under the "country specific instructions", Appendix A Document checklist - immigrant, item No.16, it requires 8 address labels with mailing address in Chinese characters.

I am confuse by the emphasis on the Chinese characters. I think it is assuming that I live in China (because it's outland), so it asks for my Chinese address. Now that I live in Canada, should I just provide 8 labels of my mailing address in Canada without Chinese characters?

Thanks!!!

I'd give them the 8 mailing address labels, with the address in English, but then put "Jianada" in Chinese characters at the end.

I'd write a brief explanation stating that your mailing address is within Canada.

You could also send an e-mail to either Beijing or Hong Kong asking this question. They are pretty good at responding (took about 10 working days when I e-mailed HK).
