Address in China

My wife is sponsoring me for a PR in Canada. I am helping her fill out the forms. On form 5540 I have a question about previous addresses in China. She gave me the addresses where she used to live and her employer information but it is written in Chinese. I was told by her and her brother that Chinese addresses do not translate into English. So should I just have this information written in Chinese or is there some way of translating this into English? Does anyone have any experience with this?

Use pingyin for the street name, that's all you need to do.

Chinese addresses most certainly do translate into English, I lived in Taiwan and all my addresses I wrote in English. You don't need to translate the "meaning" of the street name for example, but as the above poster mentioned, the PinYin is fine. That said, you do need to convert the address into a Western format, which any bilingual person should be able to do without issue.
