Address history question.

Hi, I have a question. I lived at an address for 1 year in 2013, but I do not have any document to prove that address. on all the documents like bank statements, IT returns, etc there is another address which is my friend`s address as it was easy for me to collect letters from him. So should I put in my friend`s address as I can prove easily if I need to. Both the addresses were very close on the same street.

Are you able to get a signed doc from the person who used to rent you your old place confirming you lived there?
Also in my opinion, I would write both adresses in the application and enclose a letter explaining that living adresse differs from mailing adress during that period of time?!

There is no rent agreement, I paid the rent by cash, and that landlord has sold that house and now there is another owner of that house, so there is no way I can prove that address.

But I have lot of documents to prove that my friends house was the place of my residence like bank statements, IT returns, T4s etc.

If I have to enclose a letter explaining that living adress is different from mailing address during that period of time, where do I insert that letter. Should I insert in the end of the application form or exactly after that page.

if u list your friends address you never lived you will get into nightmare trouble u never wished for pure misrepresention, which can result application reurned and lose fee or worst criminal charges, IRCC dont play games once they accuse you of something it takes yrs to get your life on track, Just write that exactly the address you resided and wait if they require documentation by follow up letter which i highly doubt which you have chance to explain why you cant get it. Its better to give them excuse why you cant get stuff you cant get, than write stuff they simply verify third party like CRA.

Did you order some delivery by online shopping during that time , if yes look for the order confirmation in your email. It may prove that you lived in that place.

First, did they sent letter requiring copy of your lease? If they required its very rare case and simply tell them you subleased from friend & that i dont have contact with him since i moved out. If not letter requiring lease agreement stop panic and enjoy your summer because they will check on CRA.

The thing is if they verify with CRA, they also have my friend's address, as on the IT return of that year, there is my friend's address. and where there is a section on IT return "is your mailing address different than your home address", it is written as "NO".

its not "IF", they will 100% verify with CRA & Service Canada. But just list the address you sleeped but if you insist and knucklehead on friends address get ready for issues if you list your friends address.

The point is CRA also had my friends address. Wherever they verify, they will get my friends address. If I give the actual address for that time period, they will not be able to verify and even I will not be able to prove as I do not have any document.

Write the address which was in all your official Docs. and in case there is any problem your fiend can always verify that you were living with him/her.

if u don't give CRA consent they will return your app! its not giving credit or not, and by the way CIC is the one who lets U and I in or out so our fate is on their hands wether you like it or no and they don't care if u give credit for that or no. but if u wish rules bended for u so is everybody wished having that luck. u will make me jealous! lol
