Hi all
I am in a dilemma about one of my address history entries
I soft landed in 2019 and stayed in an airbnb however had a close friends address on file for the pr card and also used that address to file my taxes as a non resident in 2019
Now when I am filling my address history which address do I use? Can I use the address I used to send the pr card and file taxes even though I stayed in an airbnb back then?

Thank you

They ask you for the address where you lived, not the address where you received your PR card.
There's only one truthful answer here, that's the one you should always use.

thank you for your answer but my situation is that in my 18 days of soft landing I did in fact stay over in the PR address as well since it is a close family friend for more than a week (not in a row) so I did technically live in both addresses this is why I am torn as I want to mention both addresses but do not know how to illustrate it

Will it make sense if I put a week in a row out of the 18 days in one address and the rest in the other? Or do I have to fill in the days one by one?
Thank you

IRCC will probably not play gotcha games over temporary addresses for a soft landing...
If you really want to cover your bases and stop stressing over a detail, just list the Airbnb as your address there, and add a LOE saying that since that was just a temporary address, you also used a friend place for the PR card reception and that's it.

Nothing much to add. I would go with what @Seym already suggested in the last message.
Even when I used this address for taxes and lived in it for a week?

Initial addresses are fluid and many use friends and relatives address for initial communication with government agencies. That's a known thing.
Thank you for your response

Do you recommend if I mention in an LOE that because the address I stayed in was an airbnb I used a residential house that is more reliable for all these govt. correspondences? Or just dont explain anything and they will understand that a non resident tsx filing ans pr card shipping address were there as it was as you said "fluid" address

Don't think you need to explain anything.

I don’t think IRCC cares much about where you stayed for a few days years ago. As long as you get your entry and exit dates correct - crucial for physical presence calculation - minor details like this are not worthy of their time or yours.
