Default Re: Disappearance of address on E-Cas...important??
In my experience it means that your file is being udpated (good news)

Ecas address disappeared in February - got Initial Assessment a week later. Address re-appeared

Ecas address disappeared in March - got PPR a week later. Address re-appeared

Ecas address disappeared in April - got Passport back a week later. Address re-appeared

Ecas address disappeared in April - landing information got updated. Address still missing

Hi all

I think address disappearing from ecas definitely indicates that your file has been pulled out of the storage area and some work is going on. Once they have finished that particular task for which the file has been pulled out its then sent back to the storage area and the address comes back. Its probably because they don't want applicants to change address while they are working on that particular file which complicates things for both the applicant and CIC. It cannot be a bug in the system otherwise it would have affected the whole system not some particular applicants. My address disappeared last month and then came back in the last week of July. Then it disappeared again on 2 Aug and I received PPR on the 3 Aug. I think when they pull out a whole batch of applications from the storage area the address of all the applicants in that batch disappears as we have noticed so many applicants report address missing on the same date. It would be interesting to know if somebody recently got some document request or PPR and his/her address never disappeared. If that's the case then my theory is completely wrong.

hi Sunny,
Thanks for creating this thread. I applied to AINP on H1-B category. My address started to disappearing since Aug 1st week. Then, it came back. On Aug 3rd week, it disappeared again and came back after few days with Medical and FBI report received on message box. But, since last 16 days it starts to disappear and still no address come back and nothing email and no PPR yet.
thanks

I noticed that too. Everytime my address disappears something is coming. I experienced it twice already and last month my address'appeared and later it it just disappeared. I hope PPR is next.

My e-cas status changed to "In-Process" in Aug 2011, my address disappeared at the same time and it's not back yet up to now. Hoping to get MR soon.

My address disappeared in early September, 2011 when my e-CAS was updated to "in process" with all the changes that my medicals were received and CIC started processing. After few days, I got my email PPR. My address did not appear back yet as e-CAS still says "in process".

Any idea when exactly ur address disappeared.. So that means first u had just " application received on Jan18 " with no address for few days and then changed to "in process, medical recieved".. is that right ??

I posted my e-CAS updates with date when I noticed it on several occasions. Anyway, I don't know when my address disappreared EXACTLY as I don't login to my e-CAS everyday. Regardless, I noticed all these changes on September 6, 2011 including address disappearance.

well in my case, i got an email sept 8 saying that my file was transferred to detroit, come monday when i check ecas my address was no longer there....

Hello Guys my address disappeared this week when Ecas updated as Medical Results have been received so
do you think good news are comming??
I am really nervious but I see this is normal cuz i have been reading your post and everybody is worried
How long we have to wait???

Nobody got any updates in ECAS without disappearance of address so far from what i understand.. So definitely address should disappear to get good news.. but I think, sometimes address disappear due to other reasons too.. so addresss disappearance is a hope..but u never know.

Since day one when Ecas shown 'application received on' my address never appear

Guys, where do u find your address on ECAS? I cant seem to locate mine
