Hi All,

I have requested an address change to NDVO on April 23rd. Till now I did not get any response for the communication and the address has not been changed in E-CAS too. Can anyone please advise me how long it takes to get the response from NDVO on address change request.

I have sent the request to delhi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca.

Awaiting your response.

Thanks a lot for the quick response. I'm working in Canada on work permit and the current address is Indian address. Even if they call the Indian phone number, they will not get me. I have sent the documents in Nov updating the address and when I saw there are no changes in address in ECAS, I sent them an email on April 23rd 2012.

Do you think I need to again send an email asking the status?

Indocanada i hope this helps. I send them an email on the same address on april 5th 2012 and received a reply on may 12th. This is your best bet, so expect atleast one month before you get a reply. This is a good indicator as it shows their work load presently.

I also have a similar case. I sent a mail @ the same email id in sep 2011 but it didn't change in the ECAS. I thot they might hav changed it in their records. On ordering CAIPS in April, I discovered that it is still th incorrect email address. I sent them a mail again and got no response for around 15 days. Have sent them a letter through courier now. Awaiting reponse. Add. is still incorrect in ECAS.

Don't know what these incompetent people are doing out there. Can't even assume they are busy mating cos the winters are over now.

I have sent the documents to NDVO in Nov 2011 giving the new mailing address. I also initially thought that, they might have changed in the records. But after 6 months, when ECAS was showing the same status, I though of sending them an email.

I do not know what should be the next step if they are not responding to the emails too! Lets wait and watch :(

My address has been updated. Finally a hard copy of the letter sent through courier with the copies of the mail I has sent them worked. I would suggest you to do the same. Let me know if you need any help.

Please find the response from CHC that I got for my address change

Please Note: If you have a case in process at a visa office outside of Canada – even if you are in Canada – DO NOT use the Citizenship & Immigration Canada Client Application Status system to change your address online. Any new address entered into this system will NOT be downloaded to your file in the visa office. Change of address notifications for applications at visa offices must always be submitted directly to the visa office processing the application. Also note that a change of address submitted to a visa office will NOT be reflected on the online Client Application Status system.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

I do not know if they never update the address in Ecas. I have already send the signed paper with my new address and I do not know if I need to send it again! Although my parents are there in my old address and I can still the communications, but I though it would be nice to have the current mailing address with CHC :(
