Hi folks,

My partner is a permanent resident in Canada. We recently moved to a bigger apartment. Do we need to inform Citizenship and Immigration, or just organizations like the Canada Revenue Agency, provincial health, etc.?

Many thanks,

bttmntl

Did you apply for Family Sponsorship? If not then just changed your address in the CRA, CIC wouldnt care if you changed your address. They do care if your in the middle of application for Sponsorship and didnt update your address. They need your updated home address for the correspondence.

It is family sponsorship, but we already have PR status and he is in Canada. I can't see anything that suggests we need to update the address now. Agree with you that it's just for correspondence when you're in the application process. Many thanks!

You are not required to update your address with CIC after you are a PR.
