Hi,

Does anybody know how we will be informed if we need to undergo additional medical tests? Will the embassy contact us or the medical practitioner contact us directly?

Both I and my spouse completed the medical tests the same day and our medical reports reached the medical office together. But when I asked from the embassy yesterday, they said they have only received my medical reports. I wonder whether my husband has to go through additional medical tests. I greatly appreciate your thoughts and advice on this.

Thanks in advance....

The Immigration Medical Service would send a sealed letter to the Visa Office; the VO then forwards it to you and ask you to take it to the DMP. You go to the DMP and they open the envelope and order the requisite extra tests or additional follow-up.

Thanks a lot computergeek!

I sent all the details of our medical test, including courier numbers and the date it reached the medical office to the embassy and they said that they will follow up with the medical office. I cannot think of any other reason for my husband's medical reports to get delayed other than additional medical tests.

Never underestimate the power of CIC to misplace documents.

What kind of visa application were you submitting?

Depending on your visa application - it should be via mail, courier or drop-box at CEM or via PIASI. See here:
http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/philippines/visas/apply-how_demande-comment.aspx?view=d

If this is for a TWP, then you should have called the PIASI call centre (Philippines Interactive Audiotext Services, Inc.) and made arrangements with them to have the application picked up via courier.

FYI SG Beronia is a name of the security personnel who is detailed at CEM and previously usually sign's for and receives applications/courier documents. The use of PIASI was fully utilized early this year, so new applications such as visitor visas, work permits are coursed through their visa application facilities. Immigration applications and additional documents may use the drop-box, mail or direct courier to CEM.
