Additional medical test requested by doctor

Hello

I have applied for extension of visitor visa for my parents. We got visitor record document for extension till july 2018 with medical condition for both parents. We did medical (x-rays and blood test for both). Yesterday, I got call from clinical doctor and she asked to do further sputum test for my father. I am just wondering that there is no record for upfront medical result and I didn't get any email from CIC for further medical test.

Should We go for further sputum test requested by doctor or should we wait for email by CIC? Please help me.

Yes, this is typical not to receive communication about further tests from CIC, but only from the clinic. Proceed with the test ASAP as it will take 3 months for the results.

From CIC's POV, the medical is incomplete and the application will resume once the tests are completed.

Thank you for reply, as my parents are leaving on 10 june. In every case , results will come after 10 june.
1. Will it effect for them at airport to go back?
2. Doctor is charging everytime for the same, does follow up nit include in upfront fee?

1. No effect with leaving Canada if the results are still pending.

2. Yeah as far as I recall it’s typical to have additional fees for the test. I even remember they instructed someone I know to buy their own mask for the test.
